Your collection day
We collect rubbish and recycling at least weekly from communal bins.
Mixed dry recycling
Check what items you can recycle. Remember to rinse and empty containers.
When collecting items for recycling:
- put them in either a container or a clear recycling bag. Check where to get free clear bags from.
- put your items into your communal bin, either loose or in the bag.
Do not put black rubbish bags in the communal recycling bin. Black bags and their contents will be treated as rubbish.
Food waste recycling
Check what food waste you can recycle.
To help with recycling food waste, you can:
- get free compostable caddy liners
- request a food waste caddy
- check what food waste containers you need
Chutes
If you have a chute, please place your refuse in bin liners before putting it in the correct chute. Only use the chute between 8am and 8pm so you don’t disturb your neighbours.
Bag delivery trial
We are trialling home deliveries on of recycling bags for mixed recycling. If you live in Caledonian Road or Liverpool Road, please request a delivery of recycling bags.
